Intravenous Therapy

IV therapy is a required and necessary skill set for numerous healthcare providers. The purpose of this course is to train nurses, nursing students, and those who insert, maintain, and discontinue IVs in their legal scope of practice. This certification course conforms to the National Infusion Nursing Society (INS) Guidelines and exceeds many Hospital Consortium IV Course Curriculum. Note: other professions may take this program if initiating, managing, and discontinuing IVs is within your legal scope of practice. Don't hesitate to contact your board if you are unsure if your scope of practice includes IV therapy. 

This course is divided into various modules. Review the material for each lesson. Once reviewed, click the "Mark as Done" button to indicate that you have completed the learning material. You will then be able to access the quiz. Each quiz has a passing score of 80%. The final exam is available once all quizzes have been completed with an 80% or greater passing score.
